My research at Brooklyn College of CUNY with Prof. Gerona-Navarro investigated protein-protein interaction that are key in cancer development, metastasis and other human deseases as autism. With that information we develop small molecules and peptidomimetics that target such interaction, activating or inhibiting the biological activity of the native protein.Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct independent research. Design and develop experiments. Data analysis. Report writing. Training and supervision of Undergraduate and Graduate students. Lab maintenance/management, including equipment maintenance and training.
