Working as a part-time employee since the first academic year of college, during the week, on the weekends, and bank holidays, increasing to full time hours during the summer months. During my first and second academic year, I worked an average of 20 hours per week as I was studying full time. At the moment, I am working an average of 30 hours per week as I am studying part time. Job titles include barista and check out operator.As a customer facing member of the Fresh Team, customer loyalty is paramount to my daily duties; I achieve this by being friendly and approachable to all customers, ensuring that the clients are satisfied with the service I provide. I mainly work independently as that is the nature of the job, and working under time constraints is something that I very well adapted to. When the time comes for me to be involved in team or company engagements I am very energetic and work well within those situations. Duties include dealing with face to face customers in order to respond promptly to customer queries, handling and resolving customer complaints by actively listening and speaking clearly with them, receiving and processing customer payments, describing items or suggesting products that might appeal to them, and preparing espresso based drinks.

During the time I worked at In Cahoots Café I worked as a waitress, barista, deli chef, cashier, and supervisor while attending a full time "English as a second language" course.Key responsibilities included:- Serving walk in clients- Food and drinks preparation- Cash and stock control.- Placing orders and receiving deliveries.- Customer care & satisfaction

As a teaching laboratory technician I was responsible for supporting Science lecturers and students of different undergraduate courses. For this purpose, I had to make the best use of the time they spent in the laboratories while adhering to correct procedures and health and safety guidelines. While supporting lecturers, I provided the required technical support, ensured that equipments were functioning properly and was ready to use, and that the required materials were available for particular lessons, therefore I had to keep the laboratories well-stocked and resourced. During their lessons, I helped them with a class by supporting individual or group of students on proposed tasks, where I explained or demonstrated experiments or how to use equipments. I also supervised two interns and provided support classes to students.

As an Intern I acquired practical experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting while working in the Microbiology, Hematology, and Immunology Laboratories.Key responsibilities included: - Biological specimen reception while prioritizing urgent samples for testing.- Analysis of biological specimens using sophisticated equipment, computers and procedures.- Data interpretation to provide accurate reports.- Review and record test results.- Informing other medical personnel of results.This position gave me the ability to:- Adapt quickly to new techniques and departments.- Learn on the fly but maintain a high quality within all roles.- Problem solving skills.- Process improvement.
