My name is Flavia Peredo. I am a first-generation Latinx student at the University of Maryland, pursuing a degree in Finance at the Robert H. Smith School of Business.Throughout my experience in the sales industry, I found a strong desire to offer customers solutions that set them up for future success. I am great at connecting with customers and have discovered my desire to work with others and problem-solve. In my role as a sales intern, I was able to work closely with the head of accounting helping to process and arrange invoices within their database. Throughout my experience, I was able to improve my attention to detail and demonstrate my flexibility in adjusting to new workflows and technology. At the University of Maryland, I am actively working on growing professionally and expanding my skill set. My involvement in my business fraternity, Pi Sigma Epsilon, has provided me with leadership development opportunities and valuable networking sites. Additionally, my engagement in the University Honors program has allowed me to develop in the classroom by challenging me with rigorous coursework and promoting critical thinking. I am open to networking and exploring professional opportunities within the finance and sales field.
