I am an articulate chemist with a proven track record of educational excellence, rigorous discipline, and a work ethic that meets and exceeds expectations. Currently, I manage and conduct research projects at the Amazon Bio-business Center (CBA - formerly the Amazon Biotechnology Center), where I apply my knowledge in organic synthesis, surfactants, catalysis, advanced oil recovery, and surface and materials chemistry to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for the utilization of Amazon biodiversity resources.Before joining the CBA, I was a principal researcher at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amazonas (IFAM), where I led a team of interns and fellows in the production of biofuels from residual oils of different plant sources, using ion exchange resins as catalysts. In addition, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Curtin University in Australia, where I studied interface chemistry in advanced oil recovery processes using molecular dynamics techniques. I hold a degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Federal University of Ceará and a master’s and doctorate in Chemistry from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, having completed part of my doctorate at the University of Pisa in Italy.My core competencies include project management, mastery of laboratory processes and procedures, from sampling, testing, and analysis to maintenance, diagnosis, and calibration of equipment; ability to solve complex problems, with attention to detail and a results-oriented focus; ability to work autonomously and in a team, in dynamic and challenging environments; and an exceptional collection of knowledge in topics such as materials characterization, controlled release, nanotechnology, mesoporous materials, lubricants, and others. In addition, I am globally oriented, having graduated and honed my skills at internationally renowned institutions and participated in professional development courses and workshops. I am fluent in Portuguese, English, and Italian and have multiple publications and certifications in scientific journals and events. I am also passionate about honey, hives, and bees, and I dedicate part of my free time to beekeeping and research on the benefits of bee products.
