In charge of all operation activities and main leader for the integration process of Suzhou Draka plant into Prysmiangroup, reporting directly to COO China (employees: 300+, revenues: 600mRMB +, capacity: 22000t +). Supporting other plants in China in industrializing new products and improving manufacturing performances.Suzhou Draka plant produces low voltage cables for 6 different BUs, including Renewable, Automotive, OEM and Oil&Gas for the local and export market.- Successfully integrated the acquired Suzhou Draka plant into the Prysmian group organization.- Supporting the COO in defining investments projects and capital expenditures at country level. Obtained investments for the period 2015-17 exceeding 20mRMB.- Achieved operating efficiencies in 2012-2014 exceeding 25mRMB.- Main driver for cost saving activities and projects. Achieved more than 10mRMB savings in 3 years.- Implemented new KPI system based on performance for managers and blue collars.- Main contributor and decision maker in the implementation of new IT tools, including SAP, equipment monitoring system, time data capturing system, etc.- Improved “On Time Delivery” in 2013 by 6 percentage points by improving coordination and communication between planning and sales team.- Increased production output by more than 50% in the last 2 years.- Inventory cover days reduction exceeding 25% in 3 yars: from 59 (2012) to 47 (2013) to 37 (YTD2014)- Awarded 2014 prize for the most improved plant in Prysmian group for customer service level.- First plant in Prysmian group being evaluated “A level” supplier by DXL, one of the most important automotive customer of the group.- Introduced the philosophy of continuous improvement by regularly coaching the management team and utilizing various tools: LEAN system, systematic process review, gap analysis, suggestion systems, etc.- Implemented several LEAN system tools such as: Andon call, equipment monitoring, kanban in the wire production area, etc.

In charge of all operation and engineering, cable design, product development activities for Prysmian Wuxi Telecom cables plant, reporting directly to CEO China (employees: 200+, revenues: 300mRMB +, capacity: 2mfkm +).Prysmian Wuxi plant produces several type of optical cables for outdoor applications (aerial cables, duct and direct burried cables, etc.) and indoor applications (tight buffered cables, drop cables, feeder cables, etc) for the local and export market.- Enhanced management team performance and motivation through job rotation and coaching.- Improved labor efficiency by more than 7% while reducing overtime by 2.7%.- Achieved operating efficiencies exceeding 2mRMB.- Reduced 2011 year end inventory by 30% (-25mRMB, -13 cover days).- Initiated job position flexibility for direct labor to face variability in product mix and machine utilization without the need of adding new labor force.- Managed 2010 and 2011 DTC (Design To Cost) projects for a total saving of more than 6.5mRMB.- Prepared 2012 management plan for the plant operation and product development activities.

Leading a group of 3 people in charge of new products development and process/machine continuous improvement in the fibre optic cable business, reporting directly to plant director.- Buffering process: increased production speed by 20%, improved machine and process reliability.- Fibre colouring process: increased production speed by 25%, reduced ink consumption by 30% for a yearly saving exceeding 1mRMB.- Stranding process: increased production speed by 20%, reduced cables defects after stranding by more than 80%.- Jacketing process: increased production speed for ADSS cables by 30%.- Reduced fiber brakes and process fiber scrap by more then 50%.- Developed and industrialized Ribbon cables technology for the local and export market, including new machines commissioning, start up and staff training.

Leading a group of 3 people in charge of process/product control and improvement in the MV, LV and special cables business.- Designed and industrialized new class 5 and class 6 conductors with an average copper usage reduction of 3-4%, equal to a yearly saving exceeding 2mRMB.- Industrialized several new products: cables with Airbag technology, Plastic special cables, etc.- Implemented solutions to several problems causing major cables quality issues (i.e. irregular shape of inner semi conductive material in MV cables, rough surface and holes in LV cable insulation, etc.).

Vilanova I La Geltru, Spain

New cables development and industrialisation, mainly focusing on OPGW cables.Process control and supervision. Machines and processes improvement.- Developed and industrialized a new concept of OPGW cable with aluminium tube directly extruded over optical fibres (patent pending on product and process).- Developed and industrialized central loose tube OPGW cables with up to 48 optical fibres (in 2005 this product covered more then 50% of OPGW production in Pirelli Spain).- Commissioned all production lines during plant relocation ensuring production continuity.- Reduced fiber brakes in buffering process by 80%.- Reduced ink scrap and over usage in coloring lines by 15% (estimated yearly saving exceeding 50k€).
