I am a technologist entrepreneur, developer and Linux/Unix expert with 25+ years of work experience in the online world. I worked on technology companies -- including my own -- for several years, doing executive or direct technology work in web and traditional non-web realms. I have deep knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and Internet technologies.Currently, I am the CTO of Connect the Doc, living in the Great Vancouver area.ENTREPRENEURSHIPI've been working with online technologies since 1995. During this period, I've worked in several startup companies providing technical service as employee or in executive positions. I even started and operated my own business to provide Internet/technology consultancy services during several years.PROGRAMMINGI have worked with several languages, from low-level ones like C and C++, to high-level ones such as Perl, Python, PHP and JavaScript. I have profound knowledge of web technologies, such as CSS and HTML.DRUPALI'm a Drupal user and developer since 2004. After that many years of involvement with Drupal, I developed a deep knowledge of the inner workings of this CMS. I developed several Drupal modules, many of them are available in Drupal.org. I've participated either directly as a project leader, or as a consultant, in the development, tuning, and deployment of hundreds of Drupal sites, many of them top-grade ones.UNIX/LINUXI started using BSD/OS circa 1996, and embraced the other *BSDs and Linux latter on. I have done lots of high- to low-level development on these system.I even started my own Linux distribution. It was called Magnux Linux, and was created in 1998 to serve as a robust server distro. It helped me make strong connections with open-source technologies and the free software world. (Development halted after five years, as we considered that Debian Stable became a more mature project to meet our users needs.)
