I oversaw the technical teams in Europe and South Africa and we built one of the first e-commerce platforms as a front office, consolidating the five largest content providers: GDS (Global Distribution System), Worldspan, Galileo, Sabre, and Amadeus in a single shop/portal. Expedia was our largest competitor. Part of the job was defining and managing a portfolio of projects, setting up the basis for e-commerce & CRM platforms, leading the legal and financial teams related to subcontracting major players from different countries, and reporting to stakeholders, and to the Executive President. We had 35 M € budget, 98 people working on my team, and 7 subcontractors including IBM, acting in 9 countries, we delivered on time and on budget.
