My work includes the $1.46 Billion Bunbury Outer Ring Road Project working in with a Delivery Team making up the South West Gateway Alliance (SWGA) comprising Acciona, NRW Contracting, MACA Civil, AECOM, Aurecon, WML and Main Roads WA.I was also part of the project Development Team of the Bunbury Outer Ring Road Project, the Integrated Project Team (ITP) comprising GHD, BG&E, WML and Main Roads WA.

River Thames catchment Flood Risk Management and Infrastructure Project Management.Jonathan simultaneously managed multiple projects from identification of the problem through to completion including the feasibility studies, business cases, funding applications, development and delivery of:• Office building facility upgrades and extensions.• Bridge structures over the River Thames and access roads.• Lock and Weir upgrades and construction.• Operational wharf design & construction.• River bank stabilisation and public moorings• River restoration and flood alleviation projects.• Upper Thames Weir Asset Management Scheme• Bridge structure asset inspections.Created and led the rolling two-year programme of Capital Works Projects and Maintenance Programmes with an annual budget of over £6M (UK 2006).Created effective cross-functional teams from a resource pool of Asset Managers, PMs, engineers, internal & 3rd party stakeholders, consultants, contractors, suppliers, operational teams, steel and timber fabrication workshops. Led risk management workshops with key players to thoroughly understand risks and opportunities and how to best manage them.Led designs, prepared contract tender documents, managed the tender process, performed contract administration and superintendent duties.He also carried out first principles Temporary Works Design including Cofferdams on the River Thames.

Construction and Contract Management - Maidenhead Market Square Development.Jonathan was the project engineer on this new construction project to deliver the removal of existing retaining walls, installation of extensive piled and reinforced concrete basement construction, earthworks and reinforced concrete main frame construction with lift shafts. Jonathan worked closely with the architect, structural engineer and the contractors to ensure safe, efficient and effective construction to meet the contract requirements.Delivered the reinforced concrete main frame component of a 4-storey development comprised of 3 storeys of 2 & 3 bedroomed residential units (34 flats) over a ground floor comprising of a covered market, retail units and a café. The basement car park is accessed via a ramp off High Town Road and provides 20 car parking spaces and storage space for cycles. The full construction had a value of £2 million (2003).

The James Cook University Hospital building one of the UK's largest privately-financed hospitals - £160M (1999). Major hospital expansion and redevelopment to double the existing site covering 55,000m2 in the NE of the UK. Reported to the Project Engineering Manager. A PPI with Mowlem (main contractor) as Design and Construct Project Management lead role with a 30 year maintenance contract.Jonathan was responsible for the design & delivery of 3 new hospital buildings with link corridors to existing buildings. He was simultaneously responsible for all external works including 11 car parks (over 2200 spaces), internal road network, deep stormwater drainage, all new service utilities and landscaping while maintaining existing live services to the operational hospital.8-10 Mansion House Place, City of London - £6M (1998). The scheme comprised of the demolition of the existing 1960’s office building (Bank of China) and the redevelopment of a new office space of 4,983 square metres arranged over five floors with a basement.Responsible for programme management with "just-in-time" material and subcontractor scheduling. He was responsible for managing all technical queries and Temporary Works Design. He also management quality control, safe working methods, survey control, and subcontract management including contract administration.The Guidhall Yard East Redevelopment, City of London - £38M (1997) - the City's last remaining war-damaged site. The redevelopment spans 12,000 sq m in total with an art gallery on the ground and mezzanine floors and offices on the upper levels. The discovery of the Roman amphitheatre required it to be incorporated into the design of the structure so that it remained insitu (see my profile background photo above).

Duxford American Air Museum, £11M (1995). Reinforced concrete air hanger with the largest single spanning roof in Europe (at the time).Reporting to the Project Engineer. Working closely with the Subcontractors, Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor to keep a close rein on contract administration, programme progress, accurate expenditure tracking, quality and safety management. Liaised with the Statutory Authorities, the Architect, Consulting Engineers and Contractors to proactively address problems and identify opportunities for efficient and safe implementation.
