The Eve Carson Scholarship was established in 2008 to commemorate and celebrate the life of former student body president Eve Marie Carson. She envisioned a junior-year scholarship and included it on her platform for student body president in 2007. Her goal was to reward students who had grown significantly in the areas of academics, social justice and leadership since their college matriculation. The scholarship now supports six exceptional students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, providing them with a summer experience (up to $5,000) and $15,000 towards their senior year tuition.

Voting member on the nation's only Institute of Politics established within a public university, as well as the only such institute run entirely by undergraduates. Working to coordinate student media coverage of politicians and civil servants who visit campus through IOP events.

Leader of Chapel Hill's premier political journal, the Carolina Political Review, which is made up of 40+ student writers who produce daily academic coverage of politics on a local, national, and global level. As the editor-in-chief, I copyedit, fact-check, and field pitches for all content for the editorial arm of UNC’s Institute of Politics. Under my leadership the publication has implemented a novel multimedia program that conducts audio and video interviews of prominent politicians visiting campus and increased site viewership 36% yr/yr.

Hardaway Wire is a political intelligence startup. Its first publication, Snapshot, is a global political intelligence briefing with a bipartisan membership of CEOs and government officials. 11% of its members are billionaires. In my time at the Wire, I served as lead researcher for Snapshot and began prototyping the organization's first paid intelligence product — The Biden Report.

Amidst a COVID-inspired stop out year from UNC, I worked full time as the author and editor of Media Mobilize's flagship world affairs newsletter, The Daily Pnut. My daily news briefings reached a subscriber base of over 200,000 readers who enjoy a daily dose of witty, informative updates from around the globe.

Following my work on the Daily Pnut, I began work as the head writer and editor for Media Mobilize's newest newsletter, Fast News Facts. FNF delivers a non-partisan, lighthearted spin on daily news to an organic subscriber base of readers that grew from 0 to 20,000 in just 4 months.

Spent eight weeks with a team of three other Morehead-Cain scholars researching issues surrounding belonging and community-building in the greater Seattle area. Produced video, audio, and written content for the Seattle Foundation on topics ranging from the plight of the Duwamish Tribe to the divide caused by Amazon and other tech giants. Interviewed leaders from across the city and compiled research into a final summer presentation. Presented to a group of upstart entrepreneurs in hopes of influencing future decision-makers.
