I plan and teach technology courses for elementary and middle school students through Saturday Academy. Summer 2016, I taught courses on Wearable Electronics and programming with Scratch and Python. I designed the class on Wearable Electronics as an opportunity to explore circuit basics and real-world engineering design (while making cool things with LEDs, of course). I expect to teach a few classes per year in the realm of computer programming and electronics. I look forward to inspiring young minds to think about technology critically and creatively!

I have been working on research in bio-inspired robotics.• Developed programmatic gait control of a soft robot including a serial interface for a pneumatic control board• Created Python/C++ software to extract and animate a robot’s gait and body configuration from motion capture data• Currently collaborating with biologists at OSU to develop honeybee-inspired algorithms for task allocation in robotic swarms and colonies.• Assisting with design and implementation of swarm platform with simple ground and aerial vehicles for testing research algorithms.

Explored ultra-wideband radio (UWB) technology to enhance robot localization capabilities:• Developed ROS nodes for interacting with radio peripherals to extract range/pose data, compute pose estimates, and transform between coordinate systems• Compared various UWB technologies to evaluate performance in indoor environment• Designed experiments to compare UWB localization performance against particle filter/laser scan matching method in a dynamic map environment• Implemented scripts to analyze and visualize localization error, covariance, etc.

I was a part of the Intel Software and Services Group, where I promoted Power Management in Windows Intel platforms through tools development, data analysis, debugging, and optimization.• Developed and maintained kernel driver and native C++ application to collect power data from Intel hardware and Windows OS• Applied knowledge of power telemetry to help validation teams interpret data and diagnose potential power issues• Exercised project management skills by taking charge of IP planning, code security scans, and writing user's guide• Initiated an incremental object-oriented redesign of code base to simplify integration of new features• Developed expertise in Event Tracing for Windows (ETW) to consume native events and create custom event providers• Worked with Windows native APIs to perform tasks such as interprocess synchronization and driver management• Implemented and testex firmware features in support of Windows, debugging at the assembly level using hardware extensions
