I started my career with MDD Forensic Accountants in 1984 as an intern in the firm’s Atlanta office. I later relocated to MDD’s Los Angeles office where I was made partner in 1994. In 1995, I moved to the firm’s London office.I have been involved in assignments in over 35 countries and have quantified damages in the banking, financial services, professional services, manufacturing, retail and wholesale, real estate, pulp and paper, oil, gas and petrochemical, power generation, mining, metals, automotive and entertainment sectors.I have worked extensively in matters involving fidelity, fraud, product recall, professional negligence, business interruption, lost profits and physical damages.I also have considerable experience in the catastrophe services area, garnered while working on damage evaluations following various US and Caribbean hurricanes, the Los Angeles Riots and Northridge earthquake, and the 1991 Gulf War (damage reparations). I headed up MDD’s CAT office in Grand Cayman after Hurricane Ivan and maintained a similar position following the Buncefield Oil Depot explosion. I also spent close to a year in Thailand dealing with catastrophe losses that occurred as a result of massive flooding. I have conducted seminars and educational programs on business interruption, loss of profits and damage assessment for members of the insurance and legal services industries. I received my Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia and have been a qualified accountant since 1987.
