Provided legal counsel to the corporate office and subsidiary businesses on a broad range of litigation and transactional matters, both domestic and international, and served as Legal Department subject matter expert (SME) on intellectual property (including international disputes), commercial litigation, cost containment (best practices for managing outside counsel spend) and COVID-19 (state, federal and cross-border coronavirus / SARS-CoV-2 regulations and orders). Handled complex patent litigation involving competitors in multiple jurisdictions and forums, as well as a wide variety of other litigation in jurisdictions around the world. On the transactional side, I handled commercial contracts, corporate-academic partnerships, corporate filing requirements, global branding strategy, indemnification provisions, joint development agreements, licensing agreements, marketing and advertising collateral, M&A due diligence, multi-state compliance with COVID-19 executive orders and regulations as well as Executive Order 14042 and the OSHA ETS, international travel regulations, newly acquired business integration, nondisclosure agreements, protection of the company’s intellectual property assets, risk management, and Tier 1 automotive supplier / OEM and Tier 1 / Tier 2 supplier matters. International work including matters in Latin America, Canada, Europe, Australia, the Middle East and Asia.
