Senior Intelligence Analyst
My first position within Hampshire Constabulary was as a Divisional Analyst, working in the district of Fareham, a diverse population of approximately 120,000 people, spread across both rural and inner city areas. My role involved the, research, collection, collation, evaluation and analysis of information or intelligence. In order to provide management and frontline police officers with both tactical and strategic assessments to support the detection, prevention and reduction of crime.As the Senior Analyst I was responsible for directly managing a team of analysts working within the Force Intelligence Bureau, and managing work resulted from requests for assistance on high level of criminality or the complex cases. Including: • Managing the tasking, workload and quality of the analyst’s work produced for various departments such as, Covert Operations, Divisional Handling Unit, Force Crime Unit, Test Purchasing, Source Registry and other specialist departments. • To quality assure products and mentor the analysts through the processes. • Work in collaboration with various external agencies.• Coordination and final compilation of The Force Strategic Assessment and Tactical Assessments, to present and report to the Chief Constable and other Senior Managers, through tasking and coordinating meetings.I also undertook a 15 month secondment as deputy Principal Analyst during which my role was:• To promote analysis and facilitate acceptance of changes resulting from the NIM implementation. • To develop analytical techniques, products and protocols.• Development and maintenance of standards force wide; • Oversight of training and development; and • Developing policies in relation to pay and structure of the analyst department.
Cinema Manager
My primary role was Training Manager, where I improved the recruitment process, and introduced an effective appraisal system ensuring all staff got adequate support and training. • On a daily basis I had responsibility for maintaining the cinemas budget including; staff rostering, payroll, building maintenance, stock control, cash reconciliation, security and strategic planning to ensure excellent guest service standards were maintained. • In the absence of the General Manager I acted as the company’s representative with full delegated authority in managing all aspects of the cinema’s operation including budget control and decision making.
