Right after law school, I started working as a lawyer. After a few years, I stepped into the family business that developed and sold medical instruments for a niche market (RF Pain Management). I ran this company, Cotop International, together with my brother Ivo for a couple of years. Also, we started up a publishing company in medical books (FlivoPress). In 2004 I bought my brother's shares, after which I became sole owner of both companies. After further growing the companies, I sold both Cotop International and FlivoPress to an American strategic buyer, NeuroTherm, in September 2007. At NeuroTherm I worked as Vice President Marketing during which period I was responsible for the marketing worldwide. After having set up a new image and strategy at NeuroTherm, I returned to entrepreneurship and set up UToPS (Unknown Territory of Plants and Seeds). UToPS is a company that develops and licenses a patented technique to enhance the growth of plants and the germination of seeds.In december 2013 I founded Springlife Medical, an innovation driven company aiming to improve the quality of life of patients with chronic conditions by applying Pulsed Radio Frequency (PRF). Our PRF-only generator, the Spring2, can be used for both transcutaneous and invasive procedures. I'm author of the book 'Vijf maanden in de achtbaan'.
