As an occupational therapy student, I aspire to support individuals in enhancing their quality of life in a way unique to them. I have completed two placements within the NHS and Wiltshire Council adult social care, allowing me to apply my skills and theoretical knowledge in real-world clinical settings. Additionally, I have acquired a certification in Health Coaching from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, providing valuable insights into nutrition, coaching, and wellness promotion. In conjunction with my academic pursuits, I am employed as a waitress at The Best Ever Brownie Company, where I demonstrate enthusiasm, exceptional customer service, and strong teamwork skills. I thrive in fast-paced and dynamic environments and have received commendation for my positive attitude and performance. Furthermore, I engage in annual volunteer work, training 14-17-year-olds to undertake Ten Tors, a demanding hiking challenge across Dartmoor. This experience allows me to contribute meaningfully to the broader community and hone my leadership and teamwork abilities. Additionally, my involvement with the Ten Tors serves to promote positive mental health and resilience among young individuals, aspects which I consider fundamental to my future aspirations as an occupational therapist.
