As head of development I directly supervise a team developers and IT professional located in Japan, Hong Kong and Spain. I handle the project planning as well as some of the standard management tasks (holidays, schedules, recruiting, etc…) to help create a new cryptocurrency exchange.I also act as the main bridge between the upper management and the development team. Communicating the progress back to the stakeholders and the expectation to the development team.Along with two other senior developers I worked on building the architecture of the system, which include ReactJS web applications, Java web services and a core C++ matching engine. I also work with the AWS infrastructure team to support our build and deployment processes.I help to define and clarify any requirement for the system, document them to build the tasks to give to either the team or the outsourcing vendor.I also directly work on the coding aspect of the Java web services and backend support application.

As Tech Lead for Fusion Systems I have designed, managed and implemented various systems internally and for various external clients with a specialisation in retail and restaurants including the following : - “SUSHI PASS”, a mobile application for a restaurant chain with over 450 locations. This system included AWS hosted Java services and administration tool. An on location embedded Windows C# application. Along with an Android and iOS native application which reached the #1 ranking of it’s category with over 3.5 million downloads. - An android tablet fridge visualisation and management tool for a restaurant chain. This system is a native Android application with AWS hosted Java web services. - An Omnichannel system for a cosmetic retail client which combined the customer information from an EC Site along with an in store custom built iPad POS system. Including a native android and iOS mobile application for the customer’s loyalty program. - A SaaS suite of tools and application for the retail world, from inventory management to employee shift planning. Various web applications were built using ReactJS and made to connect with a wide cloud base of mostly Java microservices, allowing for easily recombinable solutions and easy integration projects.It is within my responsibilities to make sure the system architecture and design are respected, while also putting tools and practices in place to support the development teams.Along with the technical role, part of my responsibilities fell into the team and project management category. I am to ensure the timely delivery of successful projects across multiple teams for different clients, producing and updating the project schedules as required. Managing the assignments to ensure the various concurrent client projects do not run into conflicts and that the teams have all they need to be able to complete their project.

As consultant I had to work with various clients to assist with their software development.These client projects are documented in separate entries in my work history.I also took over a project lead role for an internal project within the company after the project needed help to bring it to completion.This was a Ruby on Rails project with an EmberJS front-end component for the management of sales promotion for a chain of grocery stores.As lead for this project I had to set the milestones for the project, review and propose a new general architecture while also guiding a team of 4 developers through the realisation of the project.

I worked on site as a consultant at this company.The contract worked revolved around providing maintenance and upgrades for an existing Java J2EE web application and various related systems.The main system was for the management of insurance quotes and contracts.

I worked on site as a consultant at this company.The contract was for the evolution and maintenance of an electronic document management system and all related systems.This was primarily a Java J2EE web application for the management of documents, but included also a messaging queue dispatch system and various related batch jobs.The system was made to handle the mass digitisation of all paper documents within the company, automating the metadata records of documents with definition files and batch jobs to handle the upload. This was used by various departments within the company for the record of legal documents and of contracts.A Java JSF web application allowed the browsing, search and viewing of the document and their folders.

I was a founding partner of the company, where as consultant I had to work with various clients to assist with their software development.These client projects are documented in separate entries in my work history.As partner this also involved business strategy meetings and discussion, reviews of potential internal projects and assisting other members of the company as needed.

I worked on site as a consultant at this company.The contract was for the development of a new Java based J2EE web application for the collective insurance contract management, using JSF and ADF for the web UI components.During the project development I was giving a code review role within the project structure.This was roughly 10 000 man days in size as part of a global project schedule of 20 000 man days.

I worked on site as a consultant at this company.The contract was for the development, evolution and maintenance of a customised Java J2EE web CRM solution for the pharmaceutical sales representatives. The system was used to track visits with doctors and hospitals, record sample products left with customers, track customer interaction history and provide valuable evaluation feedback for the sales managers.As a side project I was given responsibility with the design and realisation of a windows mobile VB.Net application for the sales representative to use on the road to record their visit and be able to upload the data when they come home.

As a Java and C# developer, my role was to work on the implementation of RAD (Rapid application deployment) tools.This tool would take in a UML diagram in entry and use it to generate the full stack of code needed to provide a web application.The main core of the generators were all written in Java, but the output generated would be in either Java or C# which required me to be able to develop in both, as well as understand the stack for both Java and Microsoft technologies.
