Since leaving college where I studied Film & Television, I have worked in / collaborated with / and managed my own and many other creative organisations, be it web design, social media marketing, graphic & digital design, or film & video production.In 2011 I set up Bloom Studios in Cheltenham, which was a pioneer in video marketing for hospitality businesses. The premise was simple, if you're trying to sell a hotel, travel company, or restaurant, the most efficient way of displaying your brand was going to be via a 60-second video on the front page of your website.In 2016 I sold the business to Journey, a large marketing agency in Cheltenham with a hospitality niche, and then along with my wife, decided to take a sabbatical from marketing and the Cotswolds, and moved to Devon to set up our own hospitality business.In 2017 we found the perfect location in Exmoor, and taking everything we had picked up from 6 years' worth of projects filming and photographing hospitality businesses, we bought our very own hotel in Heasley Mill, North Devon.This was a wonderful journey where we got to use all our marketing skills to turn a rather tired holiday house into a buzzing boutique hotel and restaurant.After suffering a tough couple of years from Covid, and with heavy hearts, we decided to sell Heasley House in 2022.Moving further south to be closer to the sea, we have finally settled on the Kingsbridge Estuary as our forever home.
