The system also consists of a web-based display that allows customers to drill down from regional, to country, state, and individual locations, and aggregate slices of a year, month, number of days out, and then dive down to view individual forecasts.

Built respected, motivated team from hires and internal candidates to develop product monitoring and management solutions to improve the quality and supportability of our products.Expanded the group to engineer metrics collection systems for the VPN product line in support of service level agreements. The team's solutions successfully collect over 500 million metrics per day on over 20,000 customer devices.Led requirements gathering, architecture, design, schedule, and managed 12 software engineers for software development projects.Responsible for a team of developers, requirements analysis, quality assurance, and production support for an application that collects network performance data that is used as the basis for nearly $1 billion dollars of billed revenue per year.

Designed and developed the first 3-tiered Microsoft DCOM-based application for the retail management system, which allowed for more reliable and faster inter-process communication between components.Architected the backbone of the retail management system's distributed architecture, including the generic event bus that implemented a publish/subscribe pattern for distributed broadcast and targeted messaging between applications.Taught several classes on COM and DCOM as we moved to a component-based software development approach.

Designed and developed the Search component of Blaze Web Performance Pack.The June 1997 issue of PC Computing described Blaze Search as being "both faster and more accurate than" competing products by Symantec, Quarterdeck, and ForeFront Group.Led development of version 2 of the Blaze Web Performance Pack, including determining feature set, allocating resources, and scheduling. According to press by the company that acquired Blaze, it "WOWed attendees" at the Fall 1997 COMDEX.

Supported 150 users and led administration of seven Novell Netware servers with 30 gigabytes of storage capacity in a production environment with live financial data.Received division's Award of Excellence "for exceptional performance and outstanding contributions in leadership and customer delight".

While also attending The Ohio State University as a full-time student, I worked with customers of Basis+ to create custom macros to make the product easier to use and fixed reported errors and performed maintenance programming tasks for Basis+.
