I worked at Digital Equipment Corp for 16 years as a Field Support Rep. I've spent the last 14 years working for Rohm and Haas Company in various roles. I started here doing Novell support and moved to NT administration. About 6 years ago I was promoted to managing the Wintel Server group, with having 14 people reporting to me. I was in that position for 3 years before moving to managing our Storage infrastructure group, managing about 600 TB of data, mostly for our SAP ERP systems. I've since taken on more responsibility, I now manage our TSM backup environment and the Wintel group once again. My responsibilities include Windows, Storage and TSM architect/administration and design. I've been involved in all aspects for these environments including evaluating new technology and purcurring equipment. I also have experience managing projects. I've managed 2 projects migrating our Tier1 Storage to new hardware and also replaced our SAN switches. Other projects I've manage include migrating a Data Center to a brand new facility. My involvement included moving over 200 physical Windows machines, building out new SAN switches, Migrating to a new EMC DMX device while keeping replication in place. Also responsible for Network and Power connections to all these devices. Also included in this project was building out and migrating Tier 2 NAS data (about 25TB) and another 10 TB is TSM disk pools. Also part of this project I migrating to 2 TSM Servers and to a new tape library which was responsible for backing up all Unix and Windows Servers including about 300TB of SAP data.

My current responsibilities include Managing our Storage, Wintel and Backup environments. I have 14 people reporting to me. The current environment includes approximately 1000 servers worldwide located in 120 sites. We are responsible for Active Directory, File and Print services, standard build process using SCCM (formally SMS), implementing Security patches, web services, MS clustering, VMWare and many other technologies and responsibilities. Our storage environment consists of 2 EMC DMX 4500's supporting over 500TB of usable storage. We use SRDF and replicate to a DR site for Business Critical SAP db's. We also have two Clariion's that's used for backend storage for TSM disk pools and backend NAS disk totaling about 80TB of usable disk.I also manage our backup group which has responsibility for 7 instances of TSM used to backup UNIX, Wintel, Oracle db's, SQL, NAS, and VMWare. We also support Symantec BackupExec for our remote sites for about 80 remote sites. We also use DFS-R for about 50 sites, Primarily in APR and NAR.
