I thought I wanted to work with machines and now realize I want to work with animals. I have torn down engines and put them back together to see how they work and get the rush of working with my hands. Now I find joy in visiting zoos with my family and want to find a way to work in a zoo.I received an associates degree for automotive technology but did not want to break my back working on cars for the rest of my life. I then went on to receive a mechanical engineering degree from Texas Tech University. After graduating I found a job in the identity and access management department of a hospital system.Though I enjoy my job in identity and access management and cybersecurity, I feel the desire to bring the joys of the zoo to Lubbock, Texas, by opening the first one. That is why I am pursuing a Masters of Business Administration for Western Governors University (WGU) so that I can get a managerial job and gain the knowledge to open and run a business.
