This project of the Dutch National Youth Council (NJR) will establish one strong network of regional youth organisations and councils in which they will share knowledge, support and train each other, to make a bigger impact on local policy-making in an inclusive and sustainable manner. Especially now it is important that youth participation within (local) politics is enhanced and encouraged to make sure that policies include the perspective of youngsters, considering that for the first time this generation is likely to be worse off than previous generations.

These festivals are held at MBO schools throughout The Netherlands to encourage youngsters to vote for the upcoming national elections in November, since the governement fell in July. Many young people feel like their voice does not matter when it comes to politics. With these festivals we like to spark their enthousiasm regarding their own role within our democracy and how their voice and vote matters. This project is a cooperation between ProDemos and NJR.
