• Discovered that yeast proteins yeast-Ataxin2 (Pbp1) and Puf3 interact to support the translation of Puf3-target mRNAs. Published in an international peer-reviewed journal.• Developed a "foot printing" protocol to study in vitro and in vivo oxidation patterns that led to a fundamental understanding of the redox-sensing role of Pbp1. My contributions and data were used in a successful NIH-grant application.• Generated valuable insight directly translatable to human disease and development as Ataxin-2 is associated with ALS and other neurodegenerative diseases)• Presented weekly progress reports on my projects and annual presentations at the intra-institutional level. • Contributed to three clinical trials in castration-resistant prostate cancer treatment, both in practical and managerial sense. Examples include administration, patient follow-up, sample handling, and sample analysis. • Investigated BRCA-negative human prostate cancer, in mammalian cell lines, mouse models (GEMM and xenograft), and patient-derived samples.• Created study models, analyzed and treated those with varying therapy regimens.• Directed two undergraduate students, managed a technician, and taught two graduate students. Co-authored two publications and presented my work at international symposia.

• Studied the origin and impact of chorioamnionitis (the most common cause of preterm birth) and a potential therapy. • Prepared tissue samples and analyzed those by immmuno(histo)chemistry, immunofluorescence, qRT-PCR and ELISA. • Presented my work at weekly meetings, and my data and contributions were used for a successful grant application and included in the following scientific publication in an international peer-reviewed journal.
