As the Secretary of the Steering Committee for Pharma Delta, I play a key role in supporting and advising the committee to set new standards in pharmaceutical excellence. Pharma Delta accelerates innovation across the pharmaceutical chain by connecting small and large pharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, educational organizations, and local governments. We focus on improving global health, creating sustainable facilities, and strengthening careers in the sector. Together with our partners, we support startups and SMEs through networking events, specialized support, and large cooperative projects, aiming to enhance the region’s innovation ecosystem and make a global impact.

Digital Health Challenge Lab Digital Health Challenge Lab haalt de frustraties en wensen (challenges) op van inwoners, woningcorporaties, zorgprofessionals en zorgorganisaties rondom gezondheid, het zorgaanbod en het zorgproces. Vervolgens richt het Lab een challenge in met als doel deze frustraties op te lossen. Denk aan oplossingen rondom preventie, langer thuis zonder zorg, zonder professionele hulp thuis verblijven, met minder medewerkers meer patiënten/cliënten bereiken. Alles om de zorg beheersbaar en betaalbaar te houden. Digital Health Challenge Lab is een onderdeel Regio Deal Gezonde groene groei. Taken: programma manager, kwartiermaker, conceptidee ontwikkelen en omzetten tot een (gefinancierd) uitvoerbaar projectplan in de rol van schrijver en adviseur, stakeholdermanagement.

We weten het allemaal: er is steeds meer zorg nodig en er is steeds minder personeel. En in zorgorganisaties zijn er vaak veel ideeën om efficiënter te werken, om processen handiger in te richten, om minder handen aan het toetsenbord en meer handen aan het bed te krijgen. Maar door de constante werkdruk komen vernieuwingstrajecten vaak niet van de grond. Of er is een pilot, maar daarna is het geld op.Dan helpt het om iemand anders de kar te laten trekken. Zo iemand ben ik. Ik breng de juiste mensen bij elkaar, zorg voor een helder plan, breng de randvoorwaarden in kaart, begeleid de teams die een vernieuwing gaan implementeren en zorg voor werkbare afspraken die in de waan van de dag ook nog uit te voeren zijn.Noem me een aanjager, kwartiermaker, projectleider, programmamanager… ik zet alles op mijn kaartje. En ik zorg ervoor dat een idee voor zorgvernieuwing ook werkelijkheid wordt

I have the privilege of organizing a comprehensive study trip for a group of Finnish executive MBA (eMBA) participants, focusing on exploring business development opportunities and establishing cooperative networks between Finnish specialists and Dutch experts in the health and social sectors.Objective: The primary goal of the trip is to foster mutual learning, knowledge sharing, and the creation of lasting partnerships between the two countries. The Finnish delegation, consisting of top specialists from university hospitals, health funds, ministries, civic organizations, and private companies, sought to learn from Dutch innovations while sharing insights on Finland's approach to maintaining the Nordic welfare state model in a competitive global environment.Program Highlights:Facilitated Networking: Organize meetings and networking events to connect Finnish and Dutch professionals, creating opportunities for collaboration in the health and social sectors.Site Visits: Arrange visits to leading Dutch institutions, including university hospitals and health fund organizations, to showcase Dutch innovations in healthcare.Workshops and Discussions: workshops and roundtable discussions focused on key topics such as social security system innovations, healthcare efficiency, and sustainable financing models.Partnership Development: Assist in forming initial collaborations and potential partnerships between Finnish and Dutch experts, laying the groundwork for future joint projects.This experience not only enhance cross-border collaboration but also contribute to the exchange of valuable knowledge and expertise between Finland and the Netherlands.

Ik ontwikkelde en adviseerde over publiek-private samenwerkingen met verschillende financieringsvormen binnen Europees (o.a. Horizon2020, INTERREG), Nationaal (o.a. STW perspectief) en regionaal (o.a. EFRO en ander provinciale mogelijkheden) kader..Ik was betrokken bij de verschillende fases van een dergelijk traject van het zoeken naar financieringsopties, het formeren van een (inter)nationale consortia met industrie partners en kennisinstellingen tot het opstellen, reviewen en indienen van de subsidie aanvraag. Daarnaast stimuleerde ik actief ondernemerschap en bewustwording voor de noodzaak van vernieuwing in de Life Science en Health sector en de kansen die er liggen voor innovatieve initiatieven in de gezondheidszorg binnen het RedMedTech Ventures netwerk.

Postdoctoral researcher, Roche Innovation Fund, Department of Nuclear Medicine, Radboud UMCI developed a flexible system for efficient targeting (visualization) of in mostly breast tumors, but also other types of tumors. This is achieved in collaboration with the pharmaceutical company Hoffman-La Roche.

Ph.D. in Medical Science, Radboud University Nijmegen, The Netherlands ‘Bone regeneration using calcium phosphate based cement-Incorporation of additives and the performance in osteoporotic conditions’ I was involved in a research project of the Smartmix Translational excellence in Regenerative Medicine programme. I developed and evaluated novel instructive scaffolds for the regeneration of bone tissue in healthy individuals as well as in deficient patients (such as osteoporotic patients)

Via the Erasmus programme, a European Union (EU) student exchange programme, I was a student researcher involved in a project to develop lentiviral vectors. The lentiviral vectors I used to study the role of NECC1 in the secretory pathway in PC12 cells.
