I worked as consultant for two Hivos projects: The Women on the Frontline Programme and the Women@Work Project:» The Women on the Frontline Programme supports women in the MENA region -Tunisia, Yemen, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Bahrain and Libya- to be included in peace processes and build peace. Through strategic and targeted advocacy work, Women on the Frontline works towards increased recognition for women’s political participation and gender equality as a vital part of UNSCR on Women Peace and Security, such as UNSCR 1325, as well as SDG 16 on building just, peaceful and inclusive societies. » The VoorleesExpress is an intercultural project. Children of non-Dutch speaking families are being read aloud weekly by voluntary young women for a five months period in order to increase their understanding of the Dutch language. » Responsibilities:• Directing and supervising volunteers and families;• Planning, monitoring, evaluating and reporting of the project.
