I finished my MSc studies at ELTE TTK and became a chemist in 2021. Since 2017 I have been working with the Theoretical Chemistry Research Group at the Research Centre for Natural Sciences. As a theoretical chemist I got used to operating from command line, learned Python programming, and during the last year, when I started fulltime job at the research group, I spent more than 90% of my time with coding.I helped with the automatization of a complex protocol, including quantum chemical calculations, training/optimizing ML models using the calculated data, and predicting for new molecules based on the trained models. For this I worked with a lot of Python modules, starting from chemistry related ones (like RDKit and DeepChem) to more general ones (like NumPy, pandas, statistics, Scikit-Learn). At the end in a collaboration with 2 IT students from BME, we created a web application, where the users can enter any molecule, and the application predicts the first reduction potential for them with 5 different Deepchem models. During this collaboration I learnd the basics of GitHub and dash (in Python).In 2022 I started working at Accenture, MS Apps and Infra as a data engineer. Here I have learnt pyspark, Azure technologies (mainly Databricks) and MS SQL. On the project we are working in agile framework in scrum teams.
