Hello!I'm Flora, an enthusiastic young adult of 19 years old, currently bridging the gap between academic challenges and professional growth. Born and raised in the sun-drenched Portugal, I've taken the step to study internationally and now find myself in the Netherlands, studying International Business at Avans University of Applied Sciences. Besides my studies, I work part-time at Capable, where I gain valuable experience that I can already apply to my studies.In my free time, I really enjoy traveling, and for relaxation, I also like to read a book or watch documentaries. Moreover, I love learning many new things and meeting people.My choice for International Business was no coincidence. Driven by a deep fascination for the knowledge and the impact it can have on our society. I aim to deepen my knowledge and skills in these fields. My ultimate goal is to immerse myself in global perspectives, cultural competence, networking, and contribute to globalization. I would like to acquire a broad knowledge within my work so that I can later grow into an expert position that truly suits me.Thanks to my background, I am fluent in Portuguese, Dutch, and English. This has enabled me to develop strong communication skills. My experience in various cultural environments has taught me to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. I am confident in my ability to clearly convey ideas and actively listen to others, which is essential for successful teamwork and leadership.Although I am proud of my strengths, I am also aware that there is always room for improvement. Specifically, I see opportunities to further develop my skills, particularly in writing Dutch. Since my school education focused entirely on Portuguese, I learned Dutch by speaking with my parents; however, I have never had formal lessons in writing this language. As I am still at the beginning of my studies, there are significant gaps in my knowledge, which I expect to fill as I progress in my career.I am on an exciting journey of personal and professional development, and I am open to opportunities that will broaden my horizon. I am eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the world.
