About Flora Hands
Hello! I am an experienced graphic designer with a passion for branding and visual communication.For the last decade I have been working as an independent designer with clients ranging from universities, startups, social enterprises, 4x4, tourism, and service industries. Prior to this I worked for 3+ years in a branding and visual communications agency working with global brands to develop their internal communications and employer brand. I have also worked for a large publishing company designing for a range of press publications. I love working with clients to deliver visual assets suitable across all channels including branded, editable templates, toolkits, newsletters, reports, presentations, social media and digital comms. I am motivated by meaningful campaigns, developing concepts and designing graphics for print as well as for apps, videos and animations. This past year I have built on my experience in wayfinding for the Brookes University new campus, working on the sign design and placement strategy from scratch with site tours and floorplans through to concepts, content development, and final artwork for manufacture. I enjoy collaborating to produce the best solution, working closely with planners and project managers, copywriters, web developers, animators, motion designers, marketeers, printers and clients all over to deliver design that makes a difference. I am passionate about the user experience and no detail is too small.I am happy working independently and as part of a wider team. I take pride in being able to listen and interpret the needs of my client or the team I am working with. I am an enthusiastic learner, resourceful and generally up for giving anything a go!I have an a BA in Visual Communications, a PGDip in Graphic Design and an MA in Design Management which has equipped me the frameworks and understanding to apply the design process to any project in hand. I have an eye for detail and a passion for design at all levels. I am a people-person and can get along with anyone. I love my job as a graphic designer and am always on the look out for new creative opportunities.
