Cordoba Argentina

Flor Carranza is an Artist and Industrial Designer graduated from the U.N.C. In 2014, after working as a clothing designer for a Cordovan firm, motivated by a concern, curiosity and innate nonconformity, she started her own brand, Pedro Son, an independent project marked from the beginning by explorative freedom, which is already today a recognizable and identifying feature of the brand. The artisan intervention of fabrics with unusual techniques for textile support, the use of unusual materials, the search for new textures, glich, serial error, screen printing, manual embroidery, the composition of plots and patterns, upcycling, zero waste moulding, are some of the always changing resources that the artist and designer uses when making a garment, shaping an accessory, creating a personalized clothing line or collection. Pop, expressionist art, the avant-garde, street art, cinema, comics, literature, architecture, and of course, fashion and design, the new and the old, culture and counterculture, and always a strong weight of the immediate environment and the local color (being Cordoba, Argentine and Latin), orbit around the artist and the brand as a source of inspiration and conceptual resources. The spirit of Pedro Son screams street wear, ungendered and timeless. Generate wearable, friendly, comfortable, functional garments that are in tune with the times and the needs of the users without failing to invite them to the possibility of challenging themselves, To date, collaborations with other artists, Illya Kuryaki & The Valderramas, Mala Fama, Caligaris, She Teiks, Bandalos Chinos, Juan Ingaramo, Sara Hebe, Laser Rays, Trankie Punkie, Hernán Cattáneo for BNP, Frikstailers,, the French ragpickers Lefa and Jäde, and the recent appearance in the Brazilian Reality A Queen is Born, broadcast by the Netflix signal.

Production, Concept, Execution, Fusion And New Trends Festival

Festival De Diseño Y Nuevas Tendencias / Municipalidad Villa Maria

Villa Maria

I was involved in the production and conceptualization of the Fusion and New Trends Festival, a dynamic event that showcased a fusion of different art forms and cutting-edge trends. My responsibilities included the day-to-day planning and coordination of activities, contacting speakers and presenters, organizing the event schedule, and designing the festival's physical space.Working closely with the local municipality of Villa Maria, under the guidance of Martin Gil, I was contracted to curate and manage the festival. Our curatorial focus was centered around the themes of human, natural, social, and digital environments. We carefully selected local and national artists whose work aligned with these themes, ensuring a diverse and engaging program for attendees. One of the highlights of the festival was a specially designed tent, where we showcased two captivating installations open to the public. The first installation, "NUBE," was an interactive experience where people could change the color of a cloud-like structure. The second installation, "Ramas," created an immersive scenographic environment featuring a screen and hosting various talks and presentations. The festival spanned a week and attracted over 1,000 visitors. It provided a platform for artistic expression, cultural exchange, and knowledge sharing. It was an incredible experience to witness the impact of the festival on the community and to see the enthusiasm of the attendees as they immersed themselves in the diverse range of artistic experiences.
