Dr. Doualla-Bell is the lead for bacterial nosocomial infections at the Laboratoire de Santé Publique du Québec, Québec, Canada. More specifically, she is in charge of surveillance programmes for Clostridioides difficile, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and Carbapenemase Producing Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacteriaceae. Her area of activity also include outbreak investigation including determining the source of infection for clusters of patients infected with pathogenic bacteria.

My primary responsibility is to organize, coordinate and support the LSPQ scientists’ activities surrounding Research and Development in Medical Microbiology and Molecular Diagnostics. During my tenure, the number of successful grants, published publications/articles and trained graduated students have been steadily growing. Responsabilities:- Provide orientation and guidance to LSPQ scientists in order to setup a research capacity infrastructure- Provide strategic and operational leadership to establish and put in place research program - Manage and develop all field research projects surrounding R&D in Medical Microbiology and Molecular Diagnostics- Edit and review articles with a view to publishing in appropriate peer-reviewed journals - Network with relevant national and international entities- Manage all students recruitment and follow-up on the progress of their internship

Coordinated and managed, operational, financial and human resources of a research group from Laval University (Quebec) working on knowledge transfer and technology assessment and intervention methods in health in order to support effective decision making.Quebec Cochrane Collaboration.

Provided strategic and operational leadership to program design, competition and peer review processes for research capacity development programs of the Fonds de la recherche en santé du Québec (FRSQ)

Evaluated Botswana’s ARV national program- Set up a HIVDR surveillance laboratory and provide strategic advice to senior management.
