As the case manager, I assist clients in obtaining employment, connecting them to local resources such as housing, food, higher education etc... Monitoring clients and identifying needs they may have. Assist them in creating a budget, planning short and long term goals, time management, and work/life balance. Start where the client is and help them to work their way up. If a need can not be met in our office I advocate for the client linking them to the appropriate resource and referring out. Also, assisting in placement to higher level of care when needed.

Assist clients with severe and persistant mental disorders to learn daily living skills. Teach them to cook, clean, and live more independently. Assisting clients in meal preparation teaching safe food handling and choosing nutritional meals. Also, teaching two groups per day on various rehabilitation topics to educate clients on subjects from proper hygiene to illness awareness. The day program held up to 28 clients at a time. Responsible for keeping program budget and monthly expense reports in order and turning then in to the proper administrative staff. On days program was not open I held a case load at the main office for case management and rehab counseling.
