𝙎𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙢𝙮 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨⬥ In 1990, helped set up North & South Travel and in 1996 was IATA Certified.⬥ As part of a team at North & South Travel, organized an impactful conference that launched the first-ever Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) with over 500 participants.⬥ As a Senior Travel & Field Consultant at Royal World Travel, I contributed to the increase in monthly sales from $20,000 - $40,000 through daily field marketing, networking and sales calls. ⬥ As a result of individual efforts, in 2002 helped the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) travel desk to locate and recover approximately US $47,000 in unclaimed, un-refunded air tickets and other travel-related funds, and another $67,000 by implementing a specialized ticketing methodology for Biannual Conference Tickets. ⬥ Between 2002-2007, managed the successful organizing of high-level conferences, workshops, Board Meetings, and logistical arrangements for AERC in various African Cities. ⬥ Business growth, Bentley Travel - Succeeded in signing up a large UK-based Power Generation company AGGREKO, as a corporate client as part of benchmarking with top five Travel Agents.⬥ Travel Generated highest sales record of $250,000 in 2013 for Miles & Beyond Travel.⬥ Served as a Board Member at the Kenya Association of Travel Agents (KATA) for four years 2015-2019.
