I led the development and management of learning systems and adaptive management processes for a six-year $51M USAID/ Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) Resilience Food Security Assistance Program (RFSA), titled “Apolou” and a $5M Resilience Challenge Fund Activity funded by the USAID Center for Resilience. I spearhead the program’s Collaboration, Learning, and Adaptation (CLA) and Sustainability approaches.

Led the technical Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), Collaboration, Learning, and Adaptation (CLA), and Research start-up of a five-year, $75M USAID-funded Informal Livelihoods Advancement Activity (IQLAA) program. The Activity aims to promote sustainable growth for Jordanian Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) through a Market System Development (MSD) approach.

Karamoja, Uganda

Led the Collaboration, Learning, and Adaptation (CLA) function for a $56M Food for Peace (FFP) funded Development Food Security Activity (DFSA) and a Resilience Challenge Fund project in the Karamoja subregion of Northern Uganda. I developed and implemented the research and learning plan that supported the program team in adaptively managing interventions and showcasing program impact.

Led Household Registration and Participant Tracking System development for a $51 Million USAID Funded Food for Peace (FFP) Development Food Security Activity (DFSA). The Activity was implemented in 5 districts in the Karamoja Region of Uganda. I worked in partnership with WFP to verify the Karamoja Single Registry database (SCOPE Data), which will be used to understand the impact of an integrated data system on household engagement with various actors.

Managed the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) docket of a GBP 6.5 M United Kingdom (UK) Department for International Development (DFID) funded Building Resilience in Climate Extremes and Disasters (BRACED) program aimed at building the resilience of vulnerable people to climate extremes and disasters in Wajir, Kenya, and Karamoja, Uganda.

Designed and administered a user survey to over 4000 online business mentors and mentees to measure the impact of online business mentoring on entrepreneurs. Results were used to influence fundraising, partnerships, and user acquisition efforts for MicroMentor.

Worked for the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) to support faculty and staff in strengthening teaching at Reed. I was assigned to observe different classes and collect observational data on teaching styles and student engagement and participation. I analyzed the data and came up with recommendations on how to aid the development and refinement of teaching.
