Head Corporate Counsel Latam
Current- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and legislation, in line with agreed priorities with the Schenker Board and Senior Mgmt, proactively identify legal issues, solutions and potential support needed to provide more strategic support to local teams.- Provide prompt, effective and business-oriented legal support and advice on key projects, litigation, labor disputes and corporate policies.- Drive the development and implementation of Schenker's legal strategy and contribute to the development of the organization's overall business strategy.- Manage the flow of legal document review requests and secure the necessary approvals from the various areas of Schenker both Regionally and Globally and provide legal guidance and interpretation to all areas of the company.- Ensure effective contract management by drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts as needed from a legal and potential risk perspective. Draft, negotiate and manage company contracts following Schenker policies, including Master Agreements (service provider and with suppliers), Amendments, Local Agreements (service provider and with suppliers), NDA's, responses to RFP's. - Manage and support the corporate governance of each legal entity in LATAM.- Maintain a high level of knowledge of current and emerging laws and regulations and periodically review and update compliance rules;- Provide legal advice to other areas in relation to different branches of law, especially commercial law, antitrust, data privacy.
