Powered by Trane® (www.trane.com), Wewantice BV has as mission to introduce 'Thermal Storage Ice Batteries' to The Netherlands. By gradually making "ice" a HVAC cooling system will not have to peak and cooling loads can be managed behind the meter. The system also allows to charge the ice banks during low tariff (green) moments on the net or by own wind and/or solar systems. Via an innovation in 2023, also 'waste heat' of chillers and buildings can be stored in ice. This heat will be reused for heating the building on an other moment, dramatically lowering the use of energy. This robust energy storage system brings a solution within the present Dutch electricity net congestion challenges.
