This meant also aligning the audit plan of the team to address the IT audit related risks with an internal audit focus considering the external audit results:- Governance (e.g. licence management).- Change Management (e.g. rupture in numbers, transaction topology changes indicating issues in code/software).- Access Management (e.g. analysis of the segregation of duties/roles/responsibilities, identification of user developed software, analysis of the super users activity).- Operations Management (e.g. IT Asset criticality analysis for validation of DRP, including back-up, network segregation, performance of helpdesk, interface validation).- Cyber-Security (e.g. log analysis of firewall traffic, mainframe access including remote access). As a Senior Manager, I had the responsibility of the complete audit portfolio of my team including the identification, planning and delivery of audits. For each audit, produce a risk map detailing applications and data sources leading to a list of tests, monitor progress using self-developed project management tools, review results for quality, discuss outcomes and suggested action plans with senior management.
