I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, where I graduated from the General Santander National Police College in 1991. In 1992, I was appointed as a Deputy District Commander with the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Cambodia, where I served with distinction. I immigrated to Canada in 1994 to be with my Canadian wife and to start a family.I have been a resident of Fort McMurray for over 24 years and am grateful to have experienced the community in many facets: as a newcomer, a student at Keyano College, and as an employee with Suncor Energy Inc. and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. A thirst for knowledge saw me earn my real estate license in 2005, and my associate broker license in 2012.
