As a commercial lawyer I act for clients ranging from large public companies to individuals. I assist clients in achieving the most commercial outcome of their disputes, whether through litigation or negotiated settlements. I also provide clients with advice in relation to the negotiation and drafting of commercial agreements, and on issues involving privacy law, data sharing and consumer credit law. My experience includes:• acting for a director in Supreme Court of NSW proceedings in relation to a proposed derivative action by a company for defalcation of company funds • acting for the responsible entity of a listed managed investment scheme in relation to claims arising out of alleged misleading and deceptive conduct relating to a capital raising• acting on behalf of a company in defence of a class action brought in the Federal Court of Australia by a group of 300 shareholders. The allegations made against the company included breach of continuous disclosure requirements and misleading and deceptive conductPrior to commencing practise as a lawyer in 2005, I worked as a professional musician, performing throughout Australia, Europe and the USA.
