-Responsibilities -Preparation of experimental plans based on Design of Experiments. Realization and analysis of developed plans.Research, writing, and realization of experimental protocols in biology for the development of assays for evaluation of oncology compounds (cytotoxic, immunologic).Culture of cells lines and preparation of organoids in combination with immune cells.Participation in the product development programs with the testing of microfluidic devices and troubleshooting.Regulatory: writing of GLP and Health Safety documentation. Responsible for lab and equipment.Project management: budgeting, provisioning, communication with suppliers, communication with management.-Achievements –Successfully solved issues on microfluidics project using DoE approaches, leading to a major step forward on development.Developed several assays procedures for the testing of oncology compounds in microplate format using cancer organoids and immune cells.Help in the set up of GLP rules and documentation as part of the basic procedure for biology-based work.Following project progress, participated in the increase of work capacity with the purchase of additional high-value equipment, doubling of lab space availability, and modification of existing lab space for transformation into Biosafety Level 2 laboratory.-Context-Founded in 1962, Enplas Corporation is a Japanese company initially specializing in high precision plastic products molding for the industry. It has seen then expanded its fields of competencies over to new businesses such as semiconductors, optics, and LEDs solutions with 20 locations globally. The life science division started with supporting key projects such as the Human Genome Project started by the University of Tokyo and RIKEN in 2001. Founded in 2016, the Cambridge Enplas Lifescience Laboratory aims to bridge the gap between biology and plastic manufacturing to support the drug development process, especially in the immuno-oncology field.
Research Assistant
- Responsabilities - Realisation of experimentations based on cellular culture, molecular biology, histology, immunology, biochemistry and animal studies.Responsible of the team mouse breeding programs (up to 8 different strains simultanously and for long duration (2+ years), including cross-breeding for KO of target genes).Production of virus in biosafety Level 3 laboratory.Formation and supervision of Master and Ph.D. students (French and foreigners).- Achievements - Supervisor of mice livestock and animal experimentations for both team and external partners.Work and participation to the redaction of two scientific articles.Implication in partnership with pharmaceutical industry partners.Took part in scientific congress to present team results (poster presentation).- Context - The haematopoietic niche group under the direction of Fawzia Louache aims is to understand how the bone marrow microenvironment or niche interacts with the properties of normal and leukaemic stem cells from acute myeloid leukaemia. Using a mouse model previously constructed in which mouse haematopoiesis is reconstituted by CXCR4-/- fetal liver to understand which signalling pathways and target are activated by the niche, we investigated how the niche regulates CXCR4 expression and functions, with intention of translating the data from basic research towards new-targeted therapies of AML.

- Responsabilities - Study of biomarkers for the development of a device for detection of exposure to external radiations.Creation of a prototype using Computer Assisted Modelisation.Assistance in the production of prototypes for live testing.Communication with partners at hospital site for live testing of Dosikit prototype for end-user feedbacks and troubleshooting. - Achievements - Generation of protocols and experimental results as part of the technical develpment related to biology.Created several prototypes and models to be used as components and structure for the Dosikit.Representative of the company during a contest for fundraising.-Context-Acubens was a young compagny created in 2014, specialized in biotechnologies. Through permanent innovation, patents filing, and scientific collaboration, Acubens aimed to become a reference on antibody market. The first product developped by Acubens is an operational radiation biodosimetry device, the DosiKit.

Representative of the laboratory during communication events (forums, open days) with demonstrations.- Achievements- Set up of new laboratory space for pratical sessions in biology and chemistry.Trained classes passed pratical with honor grades.Potential prospect students have been highly motivated into enrolling.- Context -Sup’Biotech is a private engineering school located in the Paris metropolitan area, specializing in the diverse fields of the Biotechnology sector. Sup’Biotech is part of the IONIS Institute of Technology’s technology cluster. Sup’Biotech’s curriculum is a multidisciplinary balance between science and engineering coursework (lectures, practical laboratory work and projects), management skills, industrial know-how). In this optic, and with a mentorship mindset, senior students are selected to teach juniors on a variety of skills.
Junior Research Engineer
- Responsibilities -Development of strategy and experimental protocols for screening of leukemic regulators using shRNAs silencing technology.Realisation of cellular culture and production of viruses under Biosafety level 2 conditions.Follow-up of in vivo and in vitro experiments for the evaluation of the screening strategies.- Achievements -Design and application of functional strategies for screening of over 80 genes concurrently.Identification through the screening strategies of 18 genes of potential interest for further research projects and potential drug development.- Context -Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow which progress very rapidly without proper treatment. As such, the study of regulators behind the diseases are essential for the development of new and innovative treatments. In partnership with the Gustave Roussy Institute, 1st centre for cancer treatment in Europe, and the Cancéropôle Ile de France, one of the objectives of the team under the direction of Fawzia LOUACHE was the development of a high throughput screening platform. This was to be made available for research and drug development purposes for both Inserm researchers and health industry actors. This platform is to be based on the use of the shRNA gene silencing technology to study gene actions while proposing different study models format (in vivo or in vitro).
Laboratory Technician
- Responsibilities - Study by crystallography of proteins used by archebacteria for methanogenesis.Lab work: cultures monitoring, preparation of reagents and experimental screeningsConstant work in oxygen-free environment.- Achievements -Increased by 2 of the screening capacity.Experimental samples lead to results included in scientific publications.- Context -Methane is an end product of the anaerobic degradation of organic materials. This combustible gas is useful as a fuel but also it is a potential greenhouse gas. Huge amounts of methane are produced by methanogenic archaea on Earth. Which, combined with increasing anthropogenic methane production could become a global issue. Thus, understanding the mechanisms behind methanogenesis could provide key solutions for the future.
