I'm a recent graduate from the Honors Aerospace Engineering program at the University of Maryland Clark School of Engineering, where I also received a minor in Robotics and Autonomous Systems. I possess a diverse skill set encompassing multiple coding languages (from C++ to Python), simulation tools (e.g. NASTRAN and STK), and CAD software (Siemens NX, Inventor, etc.). My industry experience includes an internship at the Johns Hopkins APL, where I streamlined aircraft-radar system testing using vector calculus and MATLAB. I learned Python programming on the job to create a graphical user interface (GUI) showing the real-time aircraft motion in the simulation. The principal investigator of my team used the GUI in a demonstration to the project's sponsor to secure continued funding.My experience with the full-cycle engineering design process began in my freshman year with UMDLoop's Tunnel Boring Competition Team. This project gave me practical experience in structural analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and developing engineering models in Siemens NX. I continued working on this project between semesters, aiding in ordering and manufacturing physical parts for the final design. My thorough work on this project contributed to the team making it to the finals of The Boring Company’s 2020 “Not-A-Boring” Competition and winning the “Best Safety” Award.Beyond technical skills, I excel in communication and leadership, evident in my prior role as a Differential Equations Tutor for my university's Guided Study Sessions program. I was solely responsible for writing and planning supplemental lessons and worksheets for a 100+ student math course and leading collaborative 50-minute study sessions for students twice a week. Through my diligent communication with UMD math faculty to review lesson plans and communicate students’ concerns, I maintained an above-average attendance of 20-40 students for my non-mandatory study sessions, getting nominated for a student teaching award at the end of the year.
