Bio-technologist, Data Scientist and Molecular Biologist, Professor, junior Entrepreneur, husband, and father.Ever since I started studying molecular Biotechnology, I became fascinated with the multilayered organization of living organisms or, more specifically, eukaryotic cells. To solve the riddle of how cells process signals from the environment to reprogram their behavior, I employ cutting-edge technologies such as high-throughput screening, imaging, single-cell analysis, and multi-omics. To this end, I developed a solid understanding and skill set concerning wet lab experimentation, assay development, and analysis of all sorts of experimental data. In the future, I want to continue to develop cutting-edge technologies that enable me and others to understand the relationships between cellular reactions in different temporal (seconds to days) and spatial dimensions (cell organelles to cells in multi-cellular organizations). I am also pursuing commercialization strategies, such as patenting and licensing developed technologies and know-how, to quickly and widely disseminate the results obtained.To this date, I have had the honor of mentoring and teaching many amazing students, many of whom have pursued successful careers in academia themselves. Simultaneously with teaching, science communication, and scientific society building, I headed large-scale multi-year research efforts. Now, I want to professionalize these efforts to become increasingly independent. To this end, I seek professional mentorship from experienced researchers and entrepreneurs who can help me navigate these exciting next steps.
