As Advanced Genomics Technologies Team Leader at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), my responsibilities are the identification, evaluation and routine integration of exciting novel technologies & applications in the transcriptomics and genomics field. Together with a talented team, I am thus tailoring the analytical capabilities of the CRG Genomics Unit to the needs of its research community with the overall goal of advancing scientific knowledge to the benefit of all of society. In my previous role as Senior Scientist at Immatics Biotechnologies, leading a team of talented researchers, I applied my molecular biology experience and my passion for sequencing-based applications to discover, characterize and validate novel targets for T-cell based therapies using next-generation sequencing, bioinformatics, and functional assays. I have a strong wet lab background, as well as presentation and communication skills, which I developed during my doctoral and Master studies at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) and Heidelberg University. I hold a Master of Science degree in molecular biology from Heidelberg University and several certifications and honors. I am fluent in English and German, and currently trying my best to master the Catalan and Spanish languages. In my free time, I am a passionate trail & ultra runner, and, as a landscape photographer, I enjoy capturing the beauty of our world with my camera.
