Just like the ideas and aspirations of users and the methods and tools, we constantly evolve and seek better solutions – apart from DWH and classic data governance projects current topics include functional metadata management, governance in data lake approaches and CI/CD in data warehousing.Personal background: Even in theoretical physics, you can learn things, which you can apply and put to good use in real life: to analyze and to develop models which elicit new solutions to a problem. Equipped with that I had the opportunity to gain a broad experience in banks and insurance companies in the areas of ALM, liquidity risk, payments and financial controlling. For more than 10 years, I have been working with companies on small and (very) large DWH and data management projects in different roles, as an architect, as end-to-end contractor, providing methods and knowhow, as external reviewer, etc.
