The project compares the carbon footprints for two arrays (wind and tidal), each producing a similar amount of energy. This information will be used to compare the contributions that can be made to the UK energy demand using either wind or tidal energy.- Established a literature review on existing tidal and wind energy turbines. - Defined the Life Cycle Assessment for both tidal and wind turbines. - Defined a methodology to compute the carbon footprint and numbered it. - Proposed ways to reduce the carbon footprint for both devices and provided a cost assessment of these solutions.
