Floriana Boardman is a Morning News Reporter and Anchor for FOX8 WGHP, based in High Point, North Carolina.Before joining FOX8, Floriana spent two years at WCIV ABC News 4 in Charleston, South Carolina. There she covered everything from the Alex Murdaugh trial to Hurricanes. During her time in the Lowcountry, she was known for her reporting on leaked recordings of former South Carolina House Representative Krystle Matthews, and the several illegal actions taken by the Charleston County School Board.For this work at WCIV, she won multiple awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas. She won first place for her series on trade schools, second place for her coverage of Representative Krystle Matthews, and second place for her coverage of the Murdaugh sentencing. Floriana started her news career working for 60 Minutes at CBS News. She then worked for Fox News @ Night with Shannon Bream and for WBTV News in Charlotte, N.C. She also spent a summer in Washington, D.C., interning for the U.S. House of Representatives.Floriana graduated magna cum laude from Fordham University, where she majored in Political Science and minored in Orthodox Christian Studies, but before going to New York City, Floriana grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. Floriana loves to spend her free time reading, running and with family and friends, especially her two brothers.
