Hello! I'm a sound designer based in Bucharest, Romania, specializing in cinematics and technical sound design for AAA games.My audio journey began at 16 as a video assist technician on film sets. In 2009, I earned a BA in video editing, sound design & animation, and my work can be heard on 40+ films, some of which won internationally-acclaimed prizes at A-list film festivals.During the pandemic I shifted my focus to game audio and in 2022 started working with Vicious Sound on AAA productions, taking on different aspects of game audio. I’m currently also pursuing a double MA in Design for New Media and The Art of Film Sound at UNATC Bucharest. Video assist is the name of a complex system, consisting of monitors, recorders, video transmitters, video printers, video mixers, matrices and tens of meters of cables on the filming set. As a video assist operator, I was in charge of moving, operating, and troubleshooting the whole system. My job was to run cables from the camera/cameras to a central location - often referred as the video village - and record all the takes, so that I could always play them back for the director, DP, script supervisor, art director and several other crew members.
