I love asking questions and listening to the answers carefully: At breakfast time as the host of Austria's first TV morning show "Café Puls" or on special assignments for the TV network ProSiebenSat.1 - wherever there are great stories or breaking news.As a reporter I covered the last four U.S. presidential elections from 15 different states, was in Greece, Turkey, Hungary and along the Austrian border during the refugee movement in 2015, went to Kabul in 2011 during the Afghanistan war, was in the U.K. when Queen Elizabeth died and laid to rest, followed the conclave and inauguration of Pope Francis 2013 in Rome, covered the financial meltdown in Greece between 2011 and 2015 or went to South Africa for Mandelas funeral, for instance. Donald Trump made me a long-distance hiker. After the biggest misjudgment of an election outcome worldwide, when almost nobody predicted him becoming elected president in 2016 - I decided: Let’s get out of our bubbles and listen to real people. Right before Austria's parliamentary election in 2017, I walked 1.012 kilometers (629mi) by feet from the most Western to the most Eastern point of Austria crossing all nine provinces to give voice to voters from all over the country who usually don't get attention on national television. Two years later we repeated our mission from the lowest to the highest peak and for the EU election I was cycling 2.537km (1.576mi) around Austria. In 2020, we started the same mission in the U.S, when I spoke to voters on my walk from Trump Tower in New York City to the White House in Washington D.C.I love people, time with my two sons Noah & Theo and my wife Christina, mountains, snow, wintersports, my piano - and yes, I even love politics - especially when it comes to international relations, which I studied at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. Before that I got my education in Germany and Austria and made first steps in the media world during multiple internships at Austrian newspapers and as a radio host and reporter in my home state of Upper-Austria.
