Development Scientist For Starter Cultures

I’m a Scientist in R&D Culture Development and compound several new starter cultures for worldwide dairy applications per year. After defining product targets with the customer, I follow a structured approach with DoE and we run thousands of experiments in robotized high-throughput model systems to find the best combination of bacterial strains. Then I optimize the composition of cultures with statistical modeling and tailor it to customers need. I’m actively engaged and enjoy to have responsibility for:• Management of 3 international new product development projects • Development of many new cultures for cheese and fresh dairy applications• Scale-up and industrialization of several new cultures in collaboration with Process Development, QA and QC• Small-scale method validation and improvements
