Scrum and meetings were a daily thing and it kept me pushing forwards and seeing new ways of completing tasks. Estimating the tasks I've been assigned is another skill I've earned during my stay. I've learned the hard way that an inaccurate estimation can cause problems not only for yourself but for the whole flow of the development process.During my time at OrderYOYO I've gotten most comfortable with using angular1.x and vanilla JS to deliver features and bug fixes for an already existing project but also started different projects using C# and ASP.NET core framework. The angular/node project was a big part of my day to day since it was the main web platform in production and it helped me learn many other technologies such as npm, grunt, git,bower for package and project management and building. After a while of working with that project, I got assigned the upgrade for the platform which uses MVC and ASP.NET core 2. Shifting from JS to C# showed me that I could be doing more and so I got into automated web testing using C# and Selenium web driver. Using automated testing has given me methods I can use within my own unit testing and further improved my C# abilities. Show less

During my stay at OrderYOYO as a software tester, I have improved my knowledge of how QA and testing works which has undoubtedly opened my eyes to better ways of coding on my own projects. After working as QA for a couple of months, test-driven coding was in my nature by default. This position gave me the opportunity to talk to people in all departments, build a good knowledge of how the system works and gather a broad definition of all the features that are implemented and will be implemented. Doing so allowed me to further express my suggestions on the project. Working as a QA assistant certainly improved my aptitudes as a coder and as a professional within a dynamic company with agile development. Show less
