Rijswijk

A 3-month full-time internship at TNO in the department of Weapon Systems. I developed an aerodynamic analysis tool providing data for a defence simulation environment. In my project I worked at a high degree of independence in an environment dealing with confidential information.

The Study Tour Committee consists of 7 students who together organise a 4 week long Study Tour. The group consists of 30 mostly Master students and 4 professors of our faculty. The Study Tour will visit Brazil and Chile. It will give the participants the opportunity to gain career-oriented experience while visiting several companies.

- One of the 6 board members of the Department responsible for organising Aviation oriented activities. Among which guest lectures by professionals from the aviation industry and company visits.- Primarily responsible for organising the annual symposium, which was titled ’Journey of a lifetime’. A symposium with 600 participants and 8 speakers from Airbus, Rolls-Royce, Fokker Technologies, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Schiphol Group, Air Traffic Control the Netherlands, Arkefly and Aircraft End-of-Life Solutions.- These speakers include for example the Senior Vice President Research and Technology of Airbus, the Director of Research and Technology of Rolls-Royce and the Executive Vice President Flight Operations of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

Working together in a group of 7 to organise the Freshmen Weekend for 250 new Aerospace Engineering students. Primarily responsible for the finance and accounting of the Freshmen Weekend.
