The idea is simple, try not to duplicate code. Instead, write it once and ensure that other solutions can reference and reuse the same code if needed. With this principle, when a change needs to be made, a developer only has to update the code in one place instead of in multiple locations. This reduces both initial development time as well as future administration. We love Flow, and the Flow Builder provides tools such as subflows and invocable flows to allow flow logic to be reusable. However, when considering Flow Screens, there is no standard solution to reduce duplicated forms that your end users interact with. This is administrative debt!We believe this is a large gap. So we designed the Flow Tool Kit (Form and Table Builder) app to fill this gap. The Form Builder interface allows your team to create modular form components that can be dropped onto as many flow screens as needed. Each component contains its own set of fields, styling, and conditional logic. I serve two roles here. Before I took on the salesforce role, I primarily consulted with non-profits, faith communities and neighborhood groups, connecting them with the best tools and resources for operating a successful community garden. I teach workshops regularly and manage two micro-grant programs. Over half of my time is client facing via site visits, water audits, and project planning meetings. We also design new programming and custom tools to meet our client’s changing needs. I started my Salesforce role over three years ago. I function as a full stack developer- I have designed and implemented every component and process within our salesforce instance. This role now takes the majority of my time, including overtime and weekends. Our development department manages both grants and individual gifts using a mixture of the NPSP and custom solutions I have tailored for their specific needs. We are a membership organization, with 6 distinct programs all of which have unique configuration needs and solutions. I've met with each program to map out their needs, test solutions and train staff. I’ve incorporated standard objects, custom objects when necessary, NPSP, Process Builder, Flow, FormAssembly Web Forms, including prefill connectors, CONGA Composer Solutions, APEX, HTTP callouts, Visualforce, Visualforce email templates, Data Loader, and Workbench.

Giving Grove is a partner organization that designs and installs community fruit orchards. They are in the process of expanding nationally, with a pseudo franchise model. They want to share their business processes, ordering, invoicing, site visit, and membership process as a package for new organizations that join their program. I have been consulting with their director, mapping out options for packages that can be shared between organizations.

This was a brand-new implementation, that included data migration, NPSP configuration and custom app solutions. Jerusalem Farm organizes week long volunteer retreats which focus on assisting low income families in Kansas City with minor home repairs. I consulted one-on-one with their salesforce administrator, collected organization stories, and outlined relationship model, reporting requirements, required fields and automation solutions for custom apps. I trained the administrator on custom object and field creation as well as best practices for automation, record types, page layouts, and user adoption.

Americorps Vista Volunteer with Harvesters. I did a year of service after college, I helped organize and develop volunteer management tools with the goal of improving our volunteer training experience . This work included the creation of training manuals, and one on one support for 4,000 monthly volunteers. After my year of service I stayed with Harvesters for a second year as a full-time Volunteer Coordinator.
